Enough of the the boring stuff! more of the interesting questions below...

Where did you learn how to sew?
I wasn't really into sewing till my early 20's where I sought out a sewing teacher in the Yellow Pages in Perth. I'd go to her house each Tuesday night with a bunch of other girls to cut patterns and learn to sew. Then I made the move to Melbourne and really missed not having a teacher so I enrolled at Melbourne School of Fashion part time (2008-2010) whilst still working full time which was one of the most gruelling yet accomplishing things I'd ever done. A lot of practice, patience and determination has certainly helped.

What sort of machine do you have?
An Industrial Brother from 1986. He features on my Instagram a fair bit.

How long does it take you to make a dress?
It completely depends on the dress. Cutting out and making all the markings on a garment can take as long as the construction (sewing) does. Start with 4 hours and work your way up from there.

Do you want to eventually work in the fashion industry?
Not really! I love my job and I love sewing - it's the best of both worlds really. That and I found out how much machinists earn.. not enough!
